We provide fertility treatment including assisted reproductive technologies, along with the following service:
Assisted conception has become the foundation for treatment of female and male subfertility. With infertility affecting around 10-15% of couples, the estimated number of cases in the Lebanese population approaches 6000-9000 per year. Most importantly, the great majority of these couples experiencing subfertility will be able to conceive using one of the assisted reproduction modalities such as intrauterine insemination and in vitro fertilization. The department’s plan is to create an advanced assisted conception unit/fertility center capable of providing high-quality services in intrauterine insemination, IVF/ICSI, assisted hatching, gamete and embryo freezing, embryo biopsy and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. The unit is planned to function as early as summer 2011. The planning will take into consideration the biomedical, psychological, social and ethical issues surrounding subfertility; providing the necessary atmosphere and expertise to target these patients’ concerns.
