Head and neck anesthesia advanced airway management
This entails anesthesia provided to patients undergoing diverse surgical procedures ranging from major head and neck cancer and thyroid surgery to laryngologic, neurotologic, and skull base surgery, surgery for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), facial cosmetic surgery, and others. In the majority of cases, those patients have significant alterations in their airway anatomy and they can be quite challenging. Our center specializes in advanced airway management techniques such as awake fiberoptic intubation and transtracheal jet ventilation.
