Assistant Professor

Dr. Mohamad Ali Rida is an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine, department of Internal Medicine, division of Rheumatology.

Dr. Rida earned his medical degree at the American University of Beirut School of Medicine in 2014. He completed his residency in internal medicine followed by a rheumatology fellowship at the American University of Beirut in 2019. He then trained at one of the most prestigious universities of north America where he completed an advanced clinical fellowship in Lupus and psoriatic arthritis at the University of Toronto in 2020.

During his fellowship in Toronto, Dr. Rida was involved in the care of psoriatic arthritis and Lupus patients in one of largest referral centre in North America (UHN hospital network). He was also active in clinical research with main interest on the persistence of biologics in the treatment of Psoriatic Arthritis and treatment strategies in difficult to treat or refractory cases.

Dr Rida has been practicing as a rheumatology specialist at Clemenceau medical center before joining LAU faculty and LAU-SJH as an assistant professor in 2021. He has a demonstrated experience in medical education, teaching students, residents and fellows from various universities. Dr Rida is also active in research and has authored/co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in high impact medical journals.
